Instructor Biography:

Stephanie Hawley, RN, BSN, ACM, Manager, Education Quality Assurance

With over 20 years of nursing experience, Stephanie Hawley is an accredited case manager (ACM) who has worked in various capacities within case management and the revenue cycle for the past 17 years. She has attained acute care and hospital case management experience in intensive care, progressive care, orthopedics, neurology, neurosurgery, obstetrics, emergency, and general medical/surgical units. She has been a leader in case management and been responsible for all aspects of case management programs designed to support organizational patient throughput on the continuum of care. She has also developed and implemented denial management processes and clinical documentation improvement programs and performed extensive clinical validation and financial preservation audits. Through preparation and execution of education, Stephanie has assisted providers and staff in their documentation efforts to support medical necessity and clinical documentation integrity. Additionally, she has experience in risk management and quality assurance with involvement in compliance audits, privacy investigations, abuse and neglect interviews, and patient grievance coordination and response, as well as establishing a readmission reduction program and preparation and direct involvement in regulatory surveys. She holds a bachelor of science in nursing from the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
